A long time Olympus user and supporter for the micro Four Thirds system. John is a pioneer in his field who produces inspiring work and with an affinity for the Olympus brand.

He has received considerable industry recognition in the feature world too, having shot several films including 100 Bloody Acres directed by Colin and Cameron Cairnes, Lake Mungo and The Perfect Host, a US feature film starring David Hyde Pierce, which screened at Sundance in 2010 and received a US release. In between these longer running projects, John has shot several short films and TVCs for a range of directors.

"I shoot Olympus because their lenses are sharp and have better colour reproduction. Their cameras are indestructible, yet they are smaller and lighter than their equivalents in other brands."
